The birth of an idea comes from unlikely origins. A common aspiration to bring artistry to interior design led Shawn, Lon and Tony to start their humble design studio in 2014.

In the earliest days of the interior design firm, they worked tirelessly round the clock to ensure that every project was delivered to the maximum satisfaction of our clients. No cutting corners. No slipshod materials. Only the best. This is because they understood how invaluable a well-designed house is.

Today, this studio is ProjectGuru - an evergreen project to design every clients’ dream home. The ethos remains the same. We deliver only the finest, sophisticated and unique spaces for clients.

The design process is rooted in the strong emotional commitment that distinguishes our professional designers. Our interior design firm deeply respects our clients' aspirations and strives to build the perfect assemblage for them. Our History & Journey

2014 March | ProjectGuru Founded
Started by Shawn Kan, Lon Koh and Tony Chen

2014 July | First Office At Yishun
A 200sqf office is set up at A’ Posh Bizhub, Yishun Industrial Street 1 which a 3 people workplace

2015 April | In-house Interior Design Department
Setup In-house Interior Design Department to produce 100% original design concept based on customers’ preference and requirements.

2015 October | Moved to New & Bigger Office At Woodlands
Due to expanding of the company, ProjectGuru moved to a 1,600 sqf new office at Primz Bizhub, Woodlands. It is not only an office but also showroom with material library!

2018 March | In-house Carpentry Service
We set up our own carpentry team to customize and boost up the work for our projects.

2021 June | Second New Showroom at Kallang
A brand new and well designed showroom in town area to save our clients’ time and hassle.

We engaged Project Guru mainly for the sole reason that they have presented us the confidence of understanding our needs and requirement on the very on set and have invested substantial amount of time on the first and subsequent meetings (prior to signing the contract). Showing great attention to our projects. Tony and Jerry have been very accommodating to us on our request, timeline, and alteration of plans throughout the project and assisted us through out the project. Aside, post completion, they would still help on minor touch ups to ensure all matters are up to our standard. There are last minute changes requested by us for certain exterior outlook of our renovation and yet they have been accommodating even when time is not within our favor. Another important factor is that Tony and Jerry have consistently provided as solutions to our problems especially on the kitchen and shoe cabinet area based on our request to still fit in all the requirements we have. Overall, we are very happy with the final design and workmanship leaded by Tony and Jerry and we really do recommend our close friends to ProjectGuru for any future renovations.

I have a very pleasant experience with ProjectGuru. Shawn is my ID and explained to him on the need to move in by Apr-23. Understanding our needs, he makes sure the various activities' schedule (including the Grouting services I engaged seperately) are de-conflict and remove any potential road-blocks timely. He also coordinated and worked with the Smart Home partner I engaged. Shawn also makes a point to respond and communicate with us, no matter how late the night is and during weekends too. We got matched with Yunyang via Qanvast and meeting him was the best thing that happened to us in our rennovation journey. Not only would he go the extra mile to show us he got our vision, he was quick to arrange for subsequent consultations and was genuinely excited about our project. This did not change after we signed our contract. He would also gently remind us of the decisions that needed to be made and he was very patient in answering all the technical questions my husband asked. Once the actual rennovation started, he visited the site often and would update us with photos and videos of the progress. He was also very responsive in WhatsApp group chats and arranging site meetings when necessary. Rennovation works were arranged one after and other making progress very efficient. He has great attention to details too and would ask contractors to rectify things we haven’t notice sometimes making it stress and worry free for us. We love how our new home turned out. It was a pleasure working with you Yunyang and we greatly appreciate your effort and help. We would recommend Yunyang and ProjectGuru in a heartbeat.
