Celebrating Excellence at the Singapore Interior Design Awards (SIDA) 2024: Our Fourth Year of Participation

The excitement surrounding the Singapore Interior Design Awards (SIDA) 2024 is palpable. Organized by the Singapore Institute of Designers (SIDS), this awards program shines a light on the exceptional talents within the interior design community, both locally and internationally. Each year, SIDA becomes the most prestigious platform for recognizing those who elevate creativity and innovation in design.

The SIDA 2024 is set to serve as a platform for exceptional talent, recognising individuals who push the limits of creativity and innovation in design. The awards highlight exceptional commercial and residential projects that resonate with the contemporary lifestyles and aspirations of today’s homeowners.

Best in Residential Design: Floor Area ≤ 50 sqm:

Colonial Home

The COLONIAL HOME project, tailored for a couple in Singapore, embodies the charm of British colonial architecture while offering modern comforts. Spanning less than 50 sqm, this residence features symmetrical designs, bright white walls highlighted by bold black trims, and classic elements such as columns and four-poster beds.

Injecting colour into the design, a striking navy blue sofa and vibrant tropical plants enliven the space. This project successfully marries Singapore's rich architectural past with contemporary design principles, creating a warm and inviting home that reflects the couple's unique lifestyle.

Best in Residential Design: FloorArea = 51 –100 sqm

Modern Zen

The MODERN ZEN apartment, comfortably nestled in Sims Urban Oasis and spanning 51 to 100 sqm, exemplifies the Japandi style—a beautiful fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics. Every design detail is intentionally chosen to create a sense of peace and balance.

This apartment features shoji screen cabinets that hold cherished memories while soothing earth tones and soft, diffused lighting create a calming atmosphere. The low chabudai dining table and minimalistic platform bed not only promote simplicity but also serve functional needs effortlessly, making this home an ideal retreat from city life.

Trend and Tradition

The Trend and Tradition project at Bright Hill Condo offers a stunning fusion of traditional Chinese design and modern minimalism. Spanning over 100 sqm, this spacious three-bedroom apartment reflects inspiration from the Song Dynasty, where the vibrant colour red is a symbol of warmth and elegance.

A distinctive moon gate, or 月洞门, not only enhances the spatial flow within the apartment but also celebrates traditional Chinese garden architecture. This thoughtful integration skilfully juxtaposes modern living with timeless cultural elements, creating an atmosphere rich in heritage.

A Promising Future for Design Innovation

The Singapore Interior Design Awards (SIDA) 2024 acts as an inspiring platform for designers, motivating them to innovate and explore fresh concepts.
